Residents of Woodside Hall have shielded from the virus but spent their days enjoying the sunshine outside and keeping healthy. Activities have included growing their own vegetables in the garden, musical entertainment outside and visits from animals.
Along with music, technology, and quizzes, these activities have ensured they remained active positive and upbeat. Decisions made early on by management to enter lockdown before any government guidelines were introduced to ensure the protection of both their staff and residents.
Visiting is still taking place by appointment only and in an open space with distancing and facial coverings. Some residents have tried out video chats or simply continued with letter writing and phone calls. Indoors the residents have enjoyed live shows, visiting exhibitions and galleries made available on the internet.
