At Woodside Hall Nursing Home, the well-being of our residents is what matters most and we do our utmost to continuously provide exceptional care. We are thrilled to say that we have kept our promise and this can be proven in our latest CQC report. We have passed our CQC inspection with flying colours receiving a ‘good’ rating for all categories across the board.
What Does a ‘Good’ Rating Mean?
A ‘good’ rating is one of the top ratings and it means our service is performing well and meeting the expectations of the Quality Care Commission.
The rating is formed from five key questions that the inspector has to ask. These are;
- Are they safe? Are residents protected from abuse and avoidable harm?
- Are they effective? Does our care, treatment and support achieve good outcomes, help maintain quality of life and is based on the best available evidence?
- Are they caring? Do our staff involve and treat residents with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect?
- Are they responsive to people’s needs? Are services organised so that they meet your needs?
- Are they well-led? Does the leadership, management and governance of the organisation make sure it’s providing high-quality care that’s based on residents’ individual needs, that it encourages learning and innovation, and that it promotes an open and fair culture?
