Woodside Hall Nursing home residents enjoyed a summertime dog show on Saturday 1st July.
We were blessed with excellent weather and guests were able to enjoy our beautiful gardens as well as the wonderful variety of dogs on show, who were all amazingly behaved, and all winners in our communities’ eyes.
The display was organised by Canine Concern – A charity discovered in 1988 by Eve Waring who had seen how important dog visits were to the elderly, lonely and vulnerable, and how much joy our four-legged friends can bring.
At Woodside Hall, we have our resident dog, Tilly who is a huge asset and is loved by staff and residents.
Events like this are held dear to our residents, and our thanks go out to all that made it happen, and for the generosity of local businesses who donated towards our raffle, along with our team of volunteers.
The show was a huge success, dog lovers and Woodside hall residents gathered to watch the winners receive their trophies, rosettes, certificates, and goody bags!
It was a difficult task for the judges as each dog was beautiful.
