Dear Friends, Residents and Family,

Welcome to October’s Newsletter, we are all enjoying beautiful Autumn in all it’s colours.

Since our last update, we have enjoyed lots of entertainment and celebrations.

A very special milestone was celebrated by Alan and Pauline who celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary.

Another milestone was reached by our Dear resident Roni, who celebrated her 105th birthday. We are beyond grateful to everyone who took the time to send cards, and to local business who also generously gave Chocolates, flowers and balloon displays.

In September we held our residents meeting. Families and residents were invited to voice any concerns or make suggestions.

Cats protection visited and kindly gave us a presentation.

Magician, David Croucher entertained our residents, and will be returning in December to perform for us again.

The ever popular Pet Pal Therapy visited, bringing along Chickens and Rabbits.

Pet Pal’s visits quarterly and delivers an hour session, using different types of animals on each visit.

The visit is designed to

. Enhance memory recall

. Promote increased socialisation

. Leave residents with a heightened sense of well-being.

Julie from Art of Noise performed popular well known 50s and 60s songs for our residents to enjoy and sing a long to.

Rockin’ Mike entertained our residents, singing songs from Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra .

We held our Macmillan Coffee Morning and raised £250 for Macmillan cancer research, we thank you whole heartedly for your generosity for this worthwhile cause.

Lee Jones demonstrated his beautiful art work for the residents to enjoy.

Eastbourne Historic Vehicle club kindly visited us to show our “car mad” residents their classic cars.

This evoked fond memories for many of our residents.

A scenic drive along Cooden seafront was enjoyed by many residents. We plan to organise another outing to see the Christmas lights.
