Dear Friends, Residents and Family,
welcome to January’s Newsletter.
Since our last update, we have enjoyed lots of entertainment and celebrations.
Italian Themed Lunch Residents took an armchair travel journey to Italy, giving them an opportunity to appreciate Italian dishes prepared by our chef Paul, and share any memories from their past holidays.
Creative Mojo workshop Residents gathered in a heartfelt celebration of Remembrance Day, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedom by making a collage of poppies with Juliette from creative mojo.
Guy Sunshine bought a smile to everyone’s face with his extensive range of well known songs.
JJ Fashions Pop-up shop Residents were able to treat themselves to new clothing and receive a shop like experience with JJ fashions.
Hydro Hotel Christmas outing Venue of choice was the Hydro Hotel, residents were able to enjoy beautiful sea views from the conservatory whilst they enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine.
Hailsham choral society Hailsham Choral society treated us to a beautiful uplifting carol service, Residents along with their Families were invited to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pies.
Strictly come Dancing Party Residents took the opportunity to wear something glitzy and glam for our strictly come dancing party, hosted by one of our residents Daughters.
Christmas Fete Staff, Residents and Relatives came together to enjoy our wonderful Christmas Fete, there were various stalls on offer manned by Volunteers, Friends and Family. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and supported the home.
Hailsham Parish Church Service
Hailsham church delivered a carol service consisting of readings, the story of Christmas and carols for all to enjoy.
Residents Christmas party A great time was had by all at our annual festive bash. Everyone enjoyed participating in games, quizzes and party food.

Brett from “Activity Time” is a regular entertainer and visits fortnightly on a Tuesday morning, the residents enjoy Brett’s positive and energetic presence, in additon to to the regular quizzes, bingo, craft and baking.
Sian our fitness instructor visits every two weeks on a Tuesday. The residents have been really engaged with her exercises.
Our Hairdresser, Jackie comes in every Tuesday. Appointments can be booked via reception.
Clive, our Chiropodist visits every 6 weeks to ensure our resident’s feet are well cared for.
Please check out our “Activity Planner” on the notice board in reception and in the lounge. This will enable residents to decide if they would like to get involved.
