Dear Friends, Residents and Family,
The Summer has brought us some variable weather so far, but undeterred at Woodside, we have tried to create a happy sunny environment for the residents to enjoy.
Many events have taken place in the last couple of months.
Last month we had Pet Pals Therapy visit us, bringing along Guinea Pigs and Ferrets. A firm favourite were the Guinea Pigs, who were held by many residents.
We will be welcoming Pet Therapy again on the 26th September.
We have been entertained by Jane Jenkinson, singing popular and well known songs for everyone to enjoy and sing along to.

Peveney Ukelele Group treated us to many renditions of well known tunes to get our feet tapping.
During July, Woodside hosted a successful fete, including a dog show which was supported generously by local businesses, with money raised for future entertainment at Woodside and for Canine Concern Charity.
Our local MP Nusrat Ghani viewed our home, and was delighted to see the standard of care that we provide.
Nusrat Ghani said “ I was pleased to visit Woodside Hall Nursing Home and see the excellent work that Sharon and the team do to provide residents with specialist care and a safe home.I recognise the extraordinary commitment and compassion of our social care staff, and I continue working with East Sussex County Council and Wealden District Council to ensure that Government funding for social care is distributed effectively to our local care home staff, and the capacity of our care and nursing homes is fully utilised to free up beds in local hospitals while ensuring Wealden residents are receiving the best care.”
Brett from “Activity Time” is a regular entertainer on Tuesday mornings, the residents enjoy Brett’s positive and energetic presence, in addition to to the regular quizzes, bingo and baking.
